The Statement of Power Factor of the P-Base, High Thrust Vertical Motor

The magnitude of Power Factor is not controlled nor is the statement of Power Factor defined by industry standards. Whereas the motor parameter relationship is defined by:

 Full load Current = HP out x 746 / Volts x 3 x eff x pf,

the combined statement of current, HP, efficiency and power factor may not. The parameters may be modified by guaranteed, minimum, maximum, average, and/or nominal … etc. … criteria.

Power Factor is indirectly controlled by NEC (National Electric Code) full load current criteria, although this criterion is listed as reference only.
